Daria Donati leads the Scientific Office and Innovation for Cytiva’s Genomic Medicines initiatives and heads the company’s global strategic technology partnerships. In this role, she drives innovation and the integration of transformative technologies into Cytiva’s operations.

With a foundation in academia and public health, Daria has worked with the WHO’s MIM-TDR program to support capacity building in sub-Saharan Africa. She brings over two decades of leadership experience in biotech and biomanufacturing, having joined GE Healthcare in 2008 and currently serving in Cytiva’s Chief Science Office since 2022. Her contributions include advancing biopharma manufacturing solutions and leading the development of KUBio—the industry’s first off-the-shelf biomanufacturing facility—now deployed in over 13 countries.

Daria holds two PhDs, in Experimental Medicine from the Karolinska Institute and in Biotechnology and Transplant Immunology from the University of Pisa, along with a Master’s in Molecular Biology. She has been recognized as European Businesswoman of the Year in Life Sciences (2017), one of Fierce Pharma’s most influential figures in the fight against COVID-19 (2020), and a 2025 Medicine Maker Power List pioneer in advanced medicine.
