Cristina Salado Manzano is an accomplished leader in cell and gene therapies and clinical innovation with expertise in R&D, manufacturing, regulation, and quality control. As the Director of Advanced Therapies & Innovation at Alcura Spain, she drives global supply chain and logistics strategies for cell and gene therapies (CGTs).

With over a decade of experience spanning academia, research, and the biotech industry, Cristina is an EU GMP Qualified Person for Advanced Therapies and has contributed to the development, manufacturing, and regulation of CGT. She holds a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, earned summa cum laude, with focus on cell therapy for neurodegenerative diseases.

Cristina is a passionate advocate for innovation in healthcare, serving as a speaker at international biotech forums and as an Assistant Professor specializing in gene editing tools at University Pompeu Fabra. She is dedicated to bridging the gap between scientific breakthroughs and patient access to transformative therapies.
